People will be picking up the Harry Potter books for generations to come, but we are the lucky few who can say, ‘We were there.’ We will remember the crazy, late-night madness of book releases and the teeming crowd of fans all over the world gathering in honor of Harry Potter. We will remember watching a book about a boy wizard seduce millions of kids away from their TV sets. We will remember spending countless hours arguing with our friends about Snape’s loyalties and whether Harry would survive the series.

Why older people don’t like technology
I’m just sitting here side by side with my flutegirl0422 and she is explaining to me how to use tumblr. It occurred to me, that not all adults (older people) have someone patient enough to sit down with them and show them sites and places on the internet that are of interest to them.
Most people that I talk to say they don’t like technology. I’m guessing it is not that they don’t like it, it is just that they don’t understand it or know how it works.
I know that when I started here on Tumblr, I didn’t quite get how to work it. I come from the generation of tutorials, or books explaining me how to work or use something. It is not that way with the internet and most sites like FaceBook, Youtube and here on Tumblr.
Another thing that doesn’t help is how fast things change on these site. Well, just my two cents.
1000 reblogs = $10
10000 reblogs = $100 .. and so on
Okay, we know, we know, it’s shameless self promotion. We will be using the increased traffic from our website to fund this donation. We will be sending Red Cross the check for the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami.
UPDATE: We forgot to add what we’d do if someone were to “like” the post. We will combine the reblogs and likes we got from our last post along with the reblogs and likes we get from this post.
We wish we can donate more, but it’s all we can handle. If you would like to donate directly to the cause, please click here.
We will be donating 1 cent per every reblog, 1 cent for every like and 5 cents per every new follower we get. We’ll be sending the check to American Red Cross.
Email us at what@viaSQUARED.com for any questions regarding this.
“Hey let’s use a natural disaster to promote our blog!”
“Great idea!”
I guess I can say I donated 10 dollars and 1 cent now. People are srsly pissing me off today.
Songs The World Should Be Singing: Black Veil Brides: Are you a Bridesmaid? →
Black Veil Brides just released their debut album, We Stich These Wounds, and it’s brilliant. A relatively new face on the rock music scene, these five kids from L.A. are a force to be reckoned with. Andy Six, the band’s lead singer, has a beautiful voice that really captures the listener and…
